Walton-on-Thames is a town in the Elmbridge borough of Surrey, near Weybridge and as the name suggests, on the Thames river. Walton is a popular spot for those Londoners looking for a quieter pace of life yet within an easy commute in to central London. This affluent riverside town is home to a large shopping centre as well as numerous well-known eateries. There are lots of charming pubs and gastro pubs by the river, providing a restful atmosphere.  The famous Walton Bridge is scattered with a range of boating marinas for the local tour boat bus, as well as smaller boats you can rent. There are a number of bridges at Walton crossing the River Thames. Prior to the first bridge there was a ferry which goes back to at least the 15th century.

The property offerings in this area are in high demand. Like its wealthier neighbour, Weybridge, the houses and flats are mainly Victorian. However, in recent years there have been a number of new developments including three Span estates. For larger family homes, spectacular detached houses are available, many with riverside views.

A railway journey to London Waterloo only takes around 25 minutes and getting out of London is also a breeze, the area is well connected by motorways and major roads, like the A4, the M4 and the M25.
